The Australian-Italian festival

Event by Editorial Team

The Australian-Italian Festival began in 1995 after community consultations were called to discuss ideas for economic diversity within the growing community of Ingham. The Australian-Italian Festival is an authentic Italian cultural event held on the first weekend of August in Ingham, North Queensland. The Festival is staged at the award-winning TYTO Precinct, off the Bruce Highway, 500 metres from Ingham’s CBD. For the space of the two day carnival, the area is transformed into a huge piazza with nonstop world-class entertainment on two stages. Guests gain access to homemade, mouth-watering Italian food and wine, cooking demonstrations, displays, competitions, free amusement rides, market stalls and much more. The atmosphere, the food and the excitement all come together to give you the experience of walking into a festival in Italy.
