Graham Pont

Community / L’ultimo contributo 03 Set 2018

During his career in General Education at the University of New South Wales (1966-98) Graham Pont taught Philosophy (including Australia's first course on Philosophy of Music), Environmental and Landscape Studies, Philosophy of Technology and the world's first undergraduate courses in Gastronomy. For over sixty years his principal research area has been the works of the composer George Frideric Handel (1685-1759), especially those written for the harpsichord or organ. Pont also has a specialised interest in the history of the Italo-British vocal school which was established by Handel in the mid-eighteenth century and which still flourishes today.
