Limited tickets available. RSVP NOW! Please note, this event is for tertiary students only and we will be expecting tertiary identification on the night of the event.
Victorian Italian-Australian Tertiary Association (VITA), Nanni Calandro and Musa International present:
'Once Upon A Time In Italy: Audio-visual experience through the sounds of Cinecittà'.
From 6:30 pm onwards, the Musa Cinematic Band will take you back into the past from the main stage, to a time when Espresso and Martini were two separate things.
There'll be sweet tunes to transport you through time to "La Dolce Vita" as you sip and sample your way through a gourmet Aperitivo di Benvenuto.
When you see and hear the best gems of Italian music and cinema covering a passionate 50 minutes ode to the original Italian soundtracks from the '50s, '60s and '70s, you'll know the Italians were doing more than simply strumming mandolins and eating pasta.
Sound will alternate with projected fragments of classic Italian cinema. The behind-the-scenes narratives will be spoken by Italian musician Nanni Calandro the project's creator, and homegrown MC Jessica Scata.
What are you waiting for? Come along for a night of explorations, visions and sounds into the quintessential Italian Genre Cinema.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and tickets are $5 (which can only be bought at the door) upon presentation of tertiary student identification card.
Special Guests of the night Miss Elysia Zeccola Art Director of the Lavazza Italian Film Festival, and Mr Ferdinando Colarossi Manager of the Co.As.It.
