Barry Dickins, the famous Australian playwright, author and artist, has grown up in Reservoir and has connected with Italian culture throughout his life. He is well known by Italians in Melbourne and has painted portraits and artworks for many Italian families.
Dickins has put together a special show for Reservoir’s Salon Art Gallery. Dickins has studied everything there is to know about the Renaissance and has created a series of drawings just for this show.
As the title suggests, the exhibition draws on the Italian Renaissance but also refers to the rebirth of the suburb of Reservoir.
